So...

Hm. Today kind of sucked. And by 'kind of' I really. So I had to recite a poem in front of the entire school this morning. In LATIN! Ugh. So needless to say I was nervous out of my mind, so much so that I completely blanked on the fkkn poem on stage. Not fun.

Then, two periods later I had an Algebra II test. Nice! Except not. So I don't know how I did on that. I went to my teacher right before I went to the chapel this morning to do some extreme last-minute review. I don't know. I'll see how much that helped when I get the test back.

Then I was supposed to go to my Set Design teacher to catch up on work that I missed last Wednesday since I wasn't in school. I was going to tell him that I'd come to make up the work during the period after our originally scheduled time. So I check back a few times and it turns out that he wasn't even in school today. So I'm still behind the class. On the bright side, his absence extended my free so I had no class from 11:15am until 2:00pm (instead of the usual 1:15pm).

At 2:00pm I had English, which meant that I had to recite (yet again). Although, this time it was a passage from the book Motherless Brooklyn by Johnathan Letham. It was an amusing passage and I really like it but I kind of screwed it up (as if I didn't do that enough this morning, I had to ask for a line twice while I was on stage. Twice!).

Finally, the last period of the day arrives! Relief, right? Ha! No such luck. I've still got an in-class essay for History to write. It wasn't that bad. It was just annoying to have to do so much in one day. My teacher let us use outlines and stuff so it was all good in the hood.

It snowed! That was the highlight of my day. So of course I didn't go to practice as a result. Not like I could have done much anyway (even though I do have a track meet tomorrow). My coach has me Long Jumping (which is cool) and Triple Jumping. I've never Triple Jumped before. I'd much rather do the LJ and run the 55m Dash, but he doesn't want me running that. It makes me a bit sad that he'd rather stick me in an event that I've never done than have me run something that I'm quite familiar with. He wants me to focus on what I'll be doing next week at Ivys.

Dude, if that's the case, have me do something that I actually KNOW how to do. You know, something that I've been practicing? He originally had me down to do the 55m Hurdles but I can't hurdle to save my life and I explained that to him, but he won't switch me into the 55m Dash. Meh.

I bought a new pair of heels. I've seriously been looking for some pretty, comfortable heels to wear. Lol. Comfortable heels. That's an oxymoron. But even so, I found a pair, and so I'm wearing them now to get them used to my feet. Yes, there is some mild discomfort but nothing that won't go away in time.

I also got come ColdStone ice cream to celebrate the snow. Wafflecone cup x Sweet Cream x M&M's x Butterfinger. That's the best combination ever! Yes, I know, it's not the smartest idea in the world to walk around in the cold, snowy weather eating a a huge cup of ice cream, but it just seemed right. It was one of those times where the snow is coming down softly, there's no wind and it's not absolutely freezing outside. It was nice. Until my hands started to get numb and almost immobile from the combination of the cold air and holding a cup full of ice cream. But that didn't happen until I was walking up the block to my house, so it didn't last long.

Jaz was productive today! She came home, ate her ice cream, sat on the computer for less than an hour (actually only for the time that it took her to eat the rest of the ice cream) and then went upstairs to her room to start on her History homework. That was at 6:45pm. Yes, she strayed away from the Path of Productiveness a little, but it was nothing serious. And so she's done with that and almost done with this blog entry as well.

Oh! As a side note, whoever is reading this, you should check out the Trans-Siberian Orchestra. They ROCK!
