I'm kind of in love with this song.

Oh Shit
Yeah I still exist. So...a lot has happened lately. Let's start at the beginning (of the significant events). I went to orientation!! It was awesome. I met a lot of cool people and I saw a lot of eye candy. I registered for classes and I just got in the mail today that I placed into a higher english class because of the results of my placement test. Good stuff. I think Philly is a good place for me. It's a really nice city (once you get past the questionable parts that all cities have). I took a little trip down to South Street with a group as part of our orientation and I had Dairy Queen for the first time. That was a good evening. I'm excited to get to school for reals now.
A few days after orientation I had to pack my bag again for the ACT-SO National Competition. It was fun. Until the awards ceremony. I didn't place (for the second year in a row) but I think this year I really should have placed. Whatever. I've ranted enough about the judges' obvious incompetence enough. Not going to waste time on it now. It's all good though. I know I'm a good photographer.
Let's see...what else has been going on in my pathetic little life..? I got a 3 on my AP Euro test. Woo. I'm happy I guess, since I met my teacher's expectations. I thought that I was going to get a 1. According to the College Board, I'm "qualified". Nice.
Oh and since I've been randomly away for various reasons over the past three weeks, I actually went to work for the first time in eons yesterday. I swore up and down that I was going to get fired because I only have one shift this week. And on top of that the DM for my store was there all day yesterday adding to my paranoia. And we're doing a new trial run at my store so everything that I've been told and had drilled into my head for the past year was thrown out the window and run over several times in the street. So I did something a little different with a customer while I was helping them and after she paid and left, my DM called a minimeeting with my manager, my coworker and me. Oh shit. He's going to fire me right here and now. But he didn't. I actually got some really positive feedback and my manager and my coworker just laughed at me because they knew that I was spazzing out over whether or not he was going to fire me.
Today I went to the Bronx Zoo with my dad. I'd already gone earlier this summer with my friends but I wanted to go with my dad too. It was really nice. We just walked around and took pictures with our massive lenses and got dirty/awed/envious looks from everyone who could figure out how awesome we are. It was great. Then, as soon as my dad finished paying for some new batteries at the main gift shop, the power went out. So we decided that it was time to go. It's not really like anyone would notice that the power was out because the zoo is run on daylight since almost all of the exhibits are outside. But for those of us who were inside (of a wonderfully lit and air conditioned building) it was quite noticable. As we made our way back to the parking lot we noticed that the power was actually out everywhere. Oh snap. Even on the little carts that have popcorn, pretzels and ice cream. Yeah. We definitely had to go.
We got home and crashed. I went to sleep almost immediately (almost). Idk what my dad was doing but when I woke up he was sleeping too. We're awesome.
